Even more detailing

Well I purchased some cutting compound, a polish resin and some dodo juice wax to try and get shot of the minor swirl marks.

I didn't want to spend a few hundred pounds on a rotary polisher just yet so went for the elbow grease method instead. It took perhaps 2hrs to use the cutting compound and polish to actually give the roof panel a good clean. This was of course after last weeks clay bar was used to prep the surface. It actually did work and most scratches are gone but I think it would look better with a machine polish as you really do work up a sweat!! I then applied the wax and it feels silky smooth.

So I think the products really do work but to achieve a show car look its going to take several weekends or ill have to splash out £200 for a polisher!
