TAKATA Harness

After installing the Sparco Evo seat, it was time to install the harness.

It was a simple matter of removing the seat again and using the seat belt clip to install the eye belt for the left hand lap belt. I then removed the trim that covers the B pillar seat belt bolts at the bottom near the rear passenger foot rest so that I could install the right hand side lap belt eye bolt.

Next up was the shoulder strap belts. This involved removing the lower section of the back seat and removing the two bolts that secure the lower seat belt straps and clips. I then used the remaining two eye bolts to rescue the seat belts and give me a secure clamping point for the shoulder straps.

The thread size for all UK seat belts is 7/16' so make sure you order the eye bolts with the harness or order longer bolts with this thread!
