I must admit that although the Subaru blue is the most common and well known colour for the car, I do like it and dont get me wrong, the pain on mine is in good condition....but I have always wanted a white one.
Since before I got my driving test, I was a Subaru fan and have wanted one for years, until I was finally old enough and in a decent position where I could afford it. As I mentioned before, I bought the car purely from an engineers perspective due to the overall mechanical condition. So since a white STi is rarer than a hens tooth, I decided that I could always paint it later.
I have decided to go for Audi Ibis white as its stunning in daylight and at night and has a nice flat, non-metallic look to it. Although I loved the old original STi white, I wanted a modern twist on a cult classic, after all, every persons taste is different.
So the car has been left to the shop and the guys are going to be busy removing glass, trim and panels and getting it prepped for a few licks of fresh paint.
Ill update build photos as I get them along with the completed article. So just for now, here are a few last pics of it in its former glory! Even the guys in the shop said that it would almost be a shame to paint such as nice car but they seemed pleased to have a nice "project" to get their hands on....so I cant wait!
