Motivation and modifying

I have been a little slack in updating the blog as of late, mainly due to work commitments and family life, however, now that winter is fast approaching here in Ireland, its time to break out the tools and start modifying.

A quick update:

I am still waiting for the Bride seats to arrive from Japan.......
I got an update from Garreth at GSM Performance to let me know that Bride had taken longer than expected to get the batch order onto the ship but its now happily steaming its way to the UK by sea freight. He hopes to have them by the end of the month roughly, so as a guess, I hope to finally get my hands on them mid October! Im seriously getting nervous and cannot wait to sit in a real Bride seat in the flesh!!

Fuel System.

This is getting overhauled in the next couple of weeks. I deliberately wanted to wait until my road tax and MOT (yearly safety test hear in the UK) had expired so that the car was off the road officially before I started. I wanted to make sure I had as much time behind the wheel driving it while it was road legal so that I could save a few pounds on tax etc when working on it. That way there is no rush to finish should I encounter any unforeseen problems.

General.
As I had mentioned I had previously fitted the flamer kit, but had no luck with it due to the cat on the exhaust. I have come up with a cunning plan to rectify this shortly, so once all the parts arrive, Ill get the flamer kit completed and producing flames soon!

I promise to try to update the blog more from now on too as its all to easy to put things off and this really is a labour of love, so I should really make more of an effort.

In the mean time, I have swapped the Mercedes for a Nissan 370z as the daily driver so it has also been partly responsible for the lack of work on the Scooby. Ill get more info up on this shortly as although this isn't a Nissan blog, it does help work moving along by having a second car! I also couldn't resist the urge to modify so there is a small rear exhaust section on its way for the Zed too!
