NOS Solenoids

I think the most useful thing I have done, was removing the air conditioning compressor as it had left a large space near the inlet manfold. I was able to retain the brakes on the side of that alternator and use this along with a couple of M10 Bolts and secure the solenoids in place.

The solenoids came with their own brackets, so I used the dermal tool to bore out the bolt home on the bracket which allowed me to use the M10 bolts and secure them to the alternator bracket.

I then had to use the new 6AN adapter to splice into the current fuel system. This would allow fuel to go to the injectors as normal, but also supply a line which is connected to the fuel solenoid of the NOS system. The solenoids are normal closed, when de-energised, so it will always remain closed, until the system is armed and activated.

Making sure that the car was off, I gently cracked the fuel connection, carefully keeping a rag underneath to catch the fuel, then fitted the TEE adapter, and the the line from the adapter to the solenoid. I was also able to fit the line from the NOS bottle in the boot, to the Nitrous solenoid also. Its worth noting that all the fittings that are NPT, need thread tape/sealant on them....DO NOT put it on the AN connections!!

Once the inlets to the solenoids were complete, I then run the liens up for test fitting to see how they would reach the throttle body. Now I need to drill and tap the line from the intercooler next....
