Well..... I decided to give the plugs another go, I used feeler gauges and a spark plug gap tool to double check and set the gap to 0.65mm.... It's the 'rough'setting for the plugs as there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer in the workshop manual.
If the boxer engine wasn't so difficult to Change plugs on, this would be a quick job if the gap didn't work, but considering it takes about 1.5hrs just to swap plugs, if you don't get it right first time, It's VERY annoying!!
