Wheel painting

Today has been quite productive! I used some 80 grit sandpaper to remove the paint down to the primer coat, then used 1200 grit with water to give a smooth surface finish.

After that, cleaned and dried the wheel, the painted...with candy pink!

The paint seemed to be a good deal thinner than the primer going on so it was hard (for a first timer) to maintain light coats. I did 3 coats of paint on each wheel and am leaving it over night to see how it drys. After that, Ill spray any patchy areas tomorrow, then leave the wheels to fully dry before coating.

Im hoping to get a matt effect coat for the paint to protect it but also as I don't want a real gloss effect as they are after all, track wheels. If not, ill just get the clear coat to protect them.
