I'm amazed it's been a year of ownership and I have managed to keep the car under wraps pretty well.
In one year I've done 1067 miles!
After jacking up the car and getting the plastic protection off, I realised just how clean and rust free it is. You could still see the 'Subaru' name stamped on the exhaust shielding and it was shiny!!
Anyway, the ONLY modification I have made to the otherwise standard car is to instal a 'gold plated' magnetic sump plug. Iff you have read my blog before, you will realise how invaluable this little plug is!!
Upon draining the oil, it was still golden and 'see through' so clearly the engine is in good order.
I chose to put Shell Helix 10w40 oil in this time, mainly as the car is only run once a week for lubrication and Turning so I wanted a a good thick oil that has lower flow characteristics and will cling to the liners and maintain an oil film to prevent internal rust.
After that, gave it a test run, checked all the usual MOT lights are working and it's good to go!
