Track day prep

Im going to take the car to Bishopscourt tomorrow for Drag Racing Ireland. It was a great amateur day out the last time I took part and Im really looking forward to it now!

I spent yesterday doing a few loose ends on the car to get it track ready, which included:
Tightening all seat bolts on the Bride buckets
Checking for leaks, checking all fluid levels
Deflating the tyres to 30psi to give a good flat foot print for more grip!

Finally, before I went back to work last month, the night before getting on the flight I blew an intercooler hose off. After repairing the leak, it never felt quite right; so I jacked the car up and tightened all the clamps on the hard pipes. After getting under the car, it turns out one of the lower pipes that run from the discharge off the intercooler to the throttle body had popped off and the clamp was slack.

After securing and going for a test drive, the car was hitting 1.4 Bar again every time.

I also plumbed in the Nitrous bottle and test fired the solenoids to make sure all the wiring and connections were good on the flexi cable to the steering wheel. Finally, I added my helmet and Jerry can for storing the fuel. That way I can keep a minimum of fuel in the car for the strip and top up as needed between runs.
