I decided this evening to rewire the AEM wideband into the Datalogit. I made an extra ground wire and wire this into the 0V connection. After logging a few runs and adjusting settings I still have a 0.6 - 0.7 AFR offset on the lean side.
Meaning that if you get flat 10 AFR on the gauge on full boost, the logger gives around 10.6. Not the best, but at least its LEANER and not RICHER!
I did some reading around the subject on google and turns out at least 0.3 is an average offset and the AEM gauge is renowned for poop signals from its 5V analogue output. I had made some offset adjustments in the calculation box in Datalogit that allows you to tweek the settings. Ill do a power run tomorrow and see how close I get.
In the mean time, now that I am consistently getting gauge readings that match my fuel map, it was time to lean out the boosted region of the map and take out some fuel. I made some small adjustments to last nights map and its ready to load into the car tomorrow morning. I turned off the O2 feedback in the settings so that the readings will be more accurate without the factory O2 sensor trying to meddle with the map and adjust things as I go.
