I had a spare hour on my hands so I managed to get a copy of the stock APEXI maps for the MR2 Turbo.
I managed to buy a very very rare Apexi ecu for the Toyota for a steal on Ebay, so before I get the car, I wanted to have a safer tune ready for UK fuel.
Here is a before and after shot of the stock timing maps. I haven't altered any other settings in the ecu yet, but all east this will get it going on boost safely! It boosts at 0.8 Bar and the 4th, and highest setting, is 1.2 Bar. The MR2 run very rich to begin with so it will take some leaning out, in several stages, to get it up to a perky 1.2 Bar. Estimates for these cars are 280-300 BHP, which is plenty for rear wheel drive and a turbo thats located behind your head.
