Exhaust studs for the scooby

Just before I stored the car (after reaching my limit of patience with it) I found a very small exhaust leak around the manifold. The manifold itself seemed overly difficult to fit and because I was in a rush, I knew a couple of the head studs were a little bent, but not terribly bad, so I decided to try and fit it anyway. The exhaust still leaked a little (only after the engine stoped strangely) so I have ordered a new gasket, stud and bolt kit. It will be easy enough to remove the manifold in sections as all the bolts are clean, then install the new studs and bolt it all up again nice and tight!

It was worth a trial with the old studs, as the kit costs 25 pounds, so for the sake of an extra half hour, I almost got away with it! Oh well, at least its done fully this time, and I have learnt how to replace the manifold, without removing the turbo again!!!
