Small details

I managed to make quite a lot of progress over the past day or two on small jobs:

I removed the wheel spacers and put the old wheels back on....then left the spacers to the workshop. I requested for them to take 7mm off, but they can only take 3mm safely without the studs hitting the hub. Either way, once they are machined tomorrow, Ill fit them and check the clearance again and see about buying a 20mm spacer for the front, then machining a couple more mm off.

I wired up the Formula KS-4 knock sensor into the car. The sensor itself is bolted to the inlet manifold and the wire run through the firewall to the controller on the dash.

There is a 0-5Volt output from the controller, which I then wired into the ECU, through a spare analogue input channel. (Similar to the Wideband)

I then had to drive about and do some power runs on a safe known map that has no knock present. I then adjusted the gain and bandwidth settings on the unit to match my engine to ensure that I got an approx knock reading of "40", where 80 is actual knock. I can then setup limits in the ecu later, and an alarm on the KS-4 so if I hit knock whilst increasing the boost, I can lift off quick, or the ecu should do it for me!
