Well I decided to do a little experiment and fit an induction filter cone I purchased on Ebay for £20.
No fancy brand names, no fancy brackets, boxes or gimmicks.
The cone seemed decently made and as good as any cotton filter I have had before.
I removed the air box and fit in literally 10 mins. The other advantage is that the factory dump valve no vents to atmosphere.
After warming the engine up, the difference was phenomenal....massive air suction on acceleration and a gorgeous air whoooooosh on lifting off the throttle.
Result: Best money on a mod I have ever spent.
