We had a club meet as part of NI Subaru run (on Facebook) and managed to organise a Dyno shootout at Auto Tune NI.
After a failed oxygen sensor, I had to stop mapping until a spare arrived at the last minute and I was able to adjust the map that was on the car.
Its sitting at 1.28 Bar and very stable on boost. The dyno showed that power drops off top end and the AFR readings shoed that it was extremely rich from 6000rpm. It was also leaning out around 4500rpm.
The guys at auto tune let me do a few extra power runs and I arrived at 365bhp, just after I got this printout.
I know I have a lot more room to increase the boost now and smooth all of the map out. Hopefully I'll get a chance to tweek things again this week and increase the pressure to 1.5 BAR. The car feels good and the lower boost will definitely aid long term reliability, but I still want a solid 440 at least. The old engine made 468bhp.....perhaps a little much for a semi closed deck engine, so I'l be aiming for 440 for safety.
Either way, its a good start to the engine after 1700 miles on her already.
