Cooling issues

I did a bit or repair for a friend on his beautiful 555 sti.

After overheating issues during mapping, we the original radiator was replaced with another unit. Unfortunately it leaked as well from the end tanks.

After some fault finding I discovered that the heater core in the dash was leaking coolant into the cabin, so I bypassed the heater core entirely and fitted a new radiator, as well as new coolant.

As the car has been rebuilt i the past, we dont know if the heater core had failed due to the head gasket or damage was already caused before the current engine went in. Either way, I have recommended a coolant "sniff test" to see if there are hydrocarbons in the new coolant. After some road testing to check for leaks, My friend who does all the mapping sent me an updated map to load for the owner. It has improve anti lag and cyclic idle to get the car ready for future mapping. Its currently on a new Link G4+ ecu so needs a lot of setting up before full power can be achieved. Even at that, it sounds wicked....listen below.
