Fuel leak

I hadn't used the big white beast in a while, and after a quick start up and a drive to a medical appointment, I noticed the heavy smell of fuel in the cabin. Once I safely stopped the car, I found that the fuel return line from the injectors was leai=king Luckily, it was weeping and not spraying. The engine was even more fortunately cold and had not heated up to temperature. The fuel was leaking on the block but hadn't got near the exhaust manifold.

After getting the car home safe, I ordered some new hose and made up a new 6AN braided fuel line and fitted it a week later. Thankfully that cured the problem, but its a terrifying reminder of how a race car could potentially burst into flames when things goes wrong. Heat, fuel and oxygen and its all over!
