Rust treatment

I decided to have good look around the new hawkeye I took as part exchange for the GTR.....

Usual UK spec car and the chassis has seen a few winters to say the least. Lots of surface rust on the components but thankfully nothing serious. 

I got out the paintbrush and some rust converter gel and spent the afternoon on my back plastering the chassis where I could. 

After a few hours drying time, the rust goes black and is converted and neutralised. Tomorrows plan will be to hit the coated areas with some Dinitrinol coating to future proof the metal against any more rust. 

The aftermarket he'd unit wasn't working so I swapped it back for a stock '06 head unit that should normally be found in the hawkeye to keep the factory look.
