More mapping of the ‘Beast’

Interesting morning and glad I took the chance to get a run out whilst the weather is good.

A few more subtle changes to the cars mapping this morning has resulted in lighting throttle response and a serious extra kick in power at high RPM.

Fuel was pulled from the map, a little extra boost pressure added to the waste gate tables and generally all round the car behaves exceptionally. Thanks to a mate for the advice and his tweaks of my map. Everyday is a school day!

Peak boost is now 1.64Bar and you really can’t change gears fast enough. The car is still running rich with too much fuel on full boost so hopefully tomorrow get out for a sneaky couple of power runs and adjust the map again which should see some extra power when ‘flat out’. The timing is also low and the car has some nice low knock values so it’s definitely safe to tweek the timing a little too. Slowly slowly the car is really breaking in nicely with only around 3000 miles on the engine I built a couple of years back.
