 It's finally started!! The block has been sitting in my garage for 1.5yrs due to various work/real life getting in the way. 

Today felt really good to give everything a real deep clean, and by that I mean double check that there was no machinery cuttings left in the block, and remove the protective oil coating I had put on the block. 

After a good wash, I the took the various measurements and started to "gap" the rings on cylinders 1 & 2. Time is the key element here, take is sloooooowwww........ dont rush it and measure everything 3 times before proceeding to the next stage,
